The Cape Verde islands are a group of ten islands that lie off the coast of western Africa. Until recently the Cape Verde were often referred to as the worlds best kept secret, stunning beaches, crystal clear waters and a dramatic landscapes.

The stunning islands of Cape Verde are in many respects, Portugal's answer to the Canary Islands. Their geographical location means that they benefit from an "endless summer".

There are two contrasting styles of island in Cape Verde. Santo Antao, Sao Vicente, Santa Luzia, Sau Nicolau, Santiago and Fogo show remarkable rock based landscapes and wondrous landscapes. While the second group of islands Maio, Boavista, Brava and Sal display vast expanses of flat sand, from any one point on the islands you can see the other side. Despite the breathtaking scenery and landscapes the main appeal of the Cape Verde islands will always be the year round climate, white sandy beaches, exotic food and relaxed lifestyle

The world renowned crystal clear waters make Cape Verde a perfect place for water sports. Each year thousands of people travel to Cape Verde to go scuba diving, big game fishing, wind surfing and always leave happy. There has been considerable investment in sporting facilities and activities, so if you are not particularly interested in water sports you can try horse riding, mountain trekking, play on one of the PGA rated golf courses or simply enjoy the sun on one of the blue flag beaches.
